The Ministry of National Security says it takes with all seriousness, the allegations of manhandling made by Citi FM’s journalists Caleb Kudah and Zoe Abu-Baidoo during their interrogation by operatives of the outfit for taking videos of a no-photography zone.

In a statement signed by Chief Director at the ministry, Lt. Col. Ababio Serebour (rtd), the Ministry initiated investigations into the said allegations and assures the public that “appropriate actions shall be taken if the allegations are found to be true”.

Mr Kudah had claimed he was slapped repeatedly and booted in his groin by some operatives of the national security who arrested him on Tuesday, 11 May 2021 at the premises of the Ministry for secretly taking pictures and filming some alleged abandoned vehicles within the MASLOC yard.

“They pushed me and I sat on the chair”, he told Citi TV, adding: “They slapped me from the back”.

“I was trying to appeal to them that they had beaten me enough but they were just slapping me from the back”, he narrated.
