Catholic Bishops Conference to plant one million trees

Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference has indicated that its willingness to planting one million trees during this year’s rainy season.

This is part of the conference support for the government of Ghana’s Green Ghana Project in which the ministry of land and natural resource intends to plant five million trees.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference, in a statement dated June 7, 2021, also encouraged all ecclesial communities at diocesan and parish levels, as well as lay societies, to take part in the tree planting exercises to achieve the one million tree planting tree.

The government has encouraged every Ghanaian to participate in the tree-planting exercise.
