2021 Population and Housing Census seems to be facing challenges even before a scheduled start of the exercise across the country.

Information available to A1Raddioonline.com, indicates that tensions are brewing among census officials in the Bolgatanga East and Ghana Statistical Service over the amount to be paid as remuneration for the three-week exercise.

A letter incepted by A1Radioonline.com indicates, that census officials in the Bolgatanga East are threatening to withdraw their participation in the exercise due to what they describe as unfair treatment as the payment does not correspond to the volume of work to be done.

The census officers are also demanding insurance for the period of the exercises as some of them may come face to face with dangerous situations.

Similar demands have been made my census officials in the Gomoa Central of the Central Region.

But A1Radioonline.com, can confirm that an amount of Gh 339.00 have been paid to census officials as full and final payment of T&T for trainees.
