No cause for alarm – Supt Shilla Kessie Abayie Buckman assures Ghanaians

Director for Public Affairs, at the Ghana Police Service, Supt Shilla Kessie Abayia Buckman has assured, Ghanaians not to be worried about the recent wireless communique that was released by the Ghana Police Service.

Speaking at the passing out of 581 recruits, at the Pwalugu Police Public Safety Training School, Madam Abayia stated “The communique you saw is one of several communications that has been going on and will continue to go in different forms, it is no cause for alarm. What it is, is that it should put everyone on alert.”

She further, admonished the public to report to the police service whenever they see any unusual movements of strangers who are not known in their societies and communities.

Commenting on the visibility of police personnel in our borders, to possibly avert any attack, she explained that technology has made it necessary that, you may not need to previously use 100 police officers, now if CCTV is helping you to monitor at a place, then you may have less number of police officers in uniform.

she further said, strategies are revised, so sometimes you will see people just like yourselves lurking around but they are security officers working around with other officers.
Madam Buckman stressed, the need for the public to cooperate and give accurate information to the police to help in fighting crime.
