Interplast Ghana introduces Ingreen Drip irrigation system to boost dry season farming

Due to the unpredictability of rainfall patterns in Northern Ghana, farmers often resort to dry-season farming to boost their incomes.

But the issues of inadequate water supply, lack of proper technological equipment, and others usually confront some of them to run out of business.

Given that, Interplast Ghana, the leading producer of plastic pipe systems in Africa has introduced Ingreen Drip and sprinkler irrigation system to assist farmers, especially rural farmers to enhance their production and engage all year round.

Speaking on Daybreak Upper East Show on A1 Radio in Bolgatanga, the Irrigation Manager at Interplast Ghana, Haidar Malhas noted that the Ingreen Drip offers farmers a complete line of easy-to-use underground irrigation products, including drip pipes, sprinklers, controllers, valves.

He said the reason for the system is to reduce the teething challenges dry season farmers usually go through in their quest to increase production.

Touching on the system affordability, Mr. Malhas stressed that the main reason it was manufactured is to assist farmers to boost their production hence there is no need to worry about the price.

The Public Relations Officer of Interplast Ghana, Elizabeth Owusu Darko, however, assured farmers especially those in the rural areas to see the system as an effective way to maximize their produce.
