COVID-19 Fight: Dr. Nadia Adongo donates PPEs to Zuarungu Health Centre

The fight against the coronavirus pandemic is key and we should not relax in our quest to support and provide various health facilities with the necessary logistics says Dr. Nadia Adongo Musah, Deputy Director for the Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the Presidency.

According to her, the virus is still ravaging lives hence the need for collective efforts by all and sundry to combat it.

Given that, Dr. Nadia Adongo has provided 1500 pieces of disposable gown, 225 pieces of N95 nose mask, 4 sets of Resuscitation packs, and other essential medical items to the Zuarungu Health Centre in the Bolgatanga East District of the Upper East Region.

The kind gesture, Dr. Adongo said born out of her continued effort to sensitize the public especially those in the rural areas of the virus as well as her love for the community, Zuarungu.

She said “It is always good to be back home, especially when you are able to do your cooperate social responsibilities in the era of this deadly disease. Though I do know everyone is doing his/her part to support in the fight against the virus, with this support it will go a long way in protecting those who come to the facility and the health workers as well.”

Receiving the donated items, the district director of health in the area, Mr. Eugene Osei Yeboah, pledged to make judicious use of them.

He however, called on stakeholders and benevolent bodies to as well help in the fight against the virus as it is still in existence.
