Main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described the late Upper East Regional Youth Organizer, Latif Solomon Yenah as a true soldier and an asset to the region.

According to the Upper East Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC, Abraham Lambon the late Latif had a good relationship with the NDC because he was once a die-hard member of the NDC.

Mr Lambon said late Latif knew his roots and lineage that is why he left the NDC to support the NPP when Andrews Awuni was contesting for the Bongo seat in the 2004 general elections.

Latif gained prominence with the NPP in the year 2004 when Ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor’s former spokesperson, Andrews Awuni was selected as the parliamentary candidate for the Bongo constituency.

Speaking to A1 NEWS, Mr. Lanbon stated that the late Latif maintained a good relationship with the NDC even though his favorite candidate lost to the NDC.

It is on this principle that the NDC regional youth stated that the NDC will do all that it can to support the family of late Latif Solomon Yenah saying “we will support our own no matter which political divide you belong to.”
