See PHC exercise as NDC activity to shame ‘the devil’ – NDC Youth Organiser

The Upper East Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abraham Lambon has asked residents to take part in the 2021 population and Housing Census and see it as one of the party’s activities.

According to him, though the process used in selecting some enumerators and other field officers were wrong, members and sympathizers of the party should not use that as an excuse not to take part in the exercise.

Speaking on Daybreak Upper East show on A1 Radio, Mr Lambon noted that as the region is noted of its support for the NDC Party, his reliable information has it that some tactics were played by some statisticians to circumvent and frustrate known NDC members from volunteering on the exercise.

“We know that the process and procedures were not done right in the selecting of enumerators and field officers. We know all that. And their reasons were simple to frustrate some us but we will not see that happening. So, people of the region ought to take part in this exercise and shame those who thought they have succeeded in frustrating you not to take part in this year’s exercise. I’m encouraging you all to recognize this exercise as one of the NDC’s activities and give accurate information to help build this country.”

Not taking part in the exercise, Mr Lambon said it will go along to affect the development of the country and the region as a whole as there will not be proper documentation and in that it will affect the allocation of national resources to various communities.

“If we don’t come out with our numbers and give exact figures, allocation of resources will become a problem. And as some Municipalities in the region are asking for a split, it will be difficult because governments may think that we are not many. So, I encourage everyone to be part of the exercise.”
