Deputy National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dela Ruth Sedoh has stated that they are willing to go ahead with the planned demonstration if the Ghana Police refuse to give them protection during the protest, they will still go ahead with the protest.

Miss Sedoh is of the opinion that, they are law-abiding citizens so if the police insist they can not provide them with protection, they will protect themselves during the ‘March for Peace’ protest.

Miss Sedoh was speaking on Day Break Upper East show on A1 Radio said the Ghana Police Service declining to offer protection for the protest was an indication of yet another tactic deployed to prevent the protest from taking place.

She said the NDC is mandated as the biggest opposition party in the country to hold the Akufo Addo accountable for things that are not going on well in the country which the protest is meant to draw the attention of all those who matter to the wrong happenings in the country.

The deputy youth organizer called on youth in the country to come out in their numbers to demonstrate against the many ills in society and they should not allow the response of the police to mislead them into thinking that the protest will not come on.
