Former Upper East Regional Minister, Tangoba Abayage has donated sanitary and foodstuffs to the Ghana Prisons Service in Navrongo of the Upper East Region.

The items included bags of rice, oil and sanitary stuff.

The kid’s ward at the Navrongo War Memorial Hospital has also received refreshments from Madam Tangoba.

In an interview with A1 Radio, the former Minister noted that, “Naturally, I like to give, those who know me very well know that naturally, I like to give what I have .so once I got a position that gave me the leverage to be able to give, then I give. So the more I have, the more I give that’s how I am. So I didn’t actually start this as a regional minister. My first time of donation was in 2018 when I was then Ambassador to Italy.”

She added that “Every year if only God puts something on my plate, I try to come back and help the kid’s ward. But then last year, I added the prisons service so that’s why I’m giving to the prison services.”

She has also redeemed her pledge with an undisclosed amount to a family in Garu that was reported in the news to have two children crippled and living in unhealthy conditions.

” I’m actually going to give an envelope as a contribution to a family that has two sons crippled and they crawl on the floor and it touched me, so I made a promise to give a donation to the family, I’m extending my donation to that family” She added.
