A prolific rapper, Ras Wormz has backed calls that suggest up and coming artists especially rappers should begin collaborating with the indigenous ‘Kologo’ musicians for a “culturalistic” and prevailing content of their music career in the Upper East Region.

The rapper known for his lyrical content has noted that collaborating with such musicians will not only sell the art industry in the region but will help build unity amongst them.

The “Tariya Tariya” hitmaker who commented on A1 Radio’s Sunset Drive hosted by Moses Apiah on the need for up and coming artists to collaborate with the local guitarists for better content, added that he has been thinking of the idea for a very long time.

“It is an idea well taken and I must say recently I have made a song with Stevo Atambire, a guitarist and the song is making waves across the country. I think the time for us as rappers to collaborate with our brothers and sisters from the indigenous music circle is now”, he noted.

The rapper stressed that “The point is we knowing how to read and write does not mean we know everything. Where they have been with their music career, we as rappers in the region have not gotten there yet. So, we have to understand this and begin working with them.”

The rapper based on his art and content has been enskinned as Yelikigila Maaltinga Naba by the Paramount Chief of the Bongo Traditional Area, Bon Naaba Salifu Atamale Lemyarum.

“Yelikigila Maaltinga Naba” however assured his colleague rappers of the great impact they will get if they begin working on the idea.
