Upper East Development Association has sent a congratulatory message to Sumaila Abdul-Rahaman the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Northern Development Authority.
A statement released on the Thursday, July 22, 2021 stated “we are certain that under your leadership the Northern Development Authority will initiate and implement a transformational development agenda for the northern part of the country.”
Portions of the statement further reads, “we are certain that your appointment by His Excellency is intended to catalyze the transformation of the Northern Savannah Ecological Zone (NSEZ) through citizens mobilization, strategic planning, effective coordination, collaborative, and transactive approaches to the delivery of innovative development initiatives for the NSEZ.”
They called on the new CEO to bring his experience to bear in developing the regions of the north.

The Functional Executive Board (FEB) of the Upper East Development Association (UDA) is
excited to learn of the appointment of Mr. Sumaila Abdul-Rahman to the High Office of the
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Northern Development Authority (NDA). WE CONGRATULATE YOU ON YOUR APPOINTMENT.
Yours has been a distinguished career and we are certain that under your leadership the Northern Development Authority will initiate and implement a transformational development agenda for the northern part of the country.
