Former Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central constituency Joseph Kofi Adda has called on the leadership of the New Patriotic Party in the Navrongo Central constituency to reflect on the flaws that caused the party’s defeat in the 2020  parliamentary elections.

Addressing delegates in the 2021 Constituency Delegates Conference at the party’s office in Navrongo on the theme “Reflect, Rethink and Recapture”, the experienced politician revealed that the Navrongo Central constituency is one of the constituencies money can not be used to ‘buy’ people when it comes elections.

He said “Navrongo is the place where we don’t buy human beings. Money is not what we can use to buy human beings. Anybody who knows elections in Navrongo will tell you. Resources are important but they must be used judiciously.”

According to Adda, there is the need to develop a strategic plan which will unite the people together, the NPP has the best policies that benefit the masses so if money becomes the only tool, the people will collect the money and still vote against the party.

Mr. Adda has therefore call on the party executive in the constituency to reflect on the core principles of unity, sincerity, selflessness and respect.

These he believes must take the center stage if the NPP wants to recapture the Navrongo Central constituency seat.

The constituency delegates conference brought together regional and constituency executive of the New Patriotic Party including the Elders and Patrons of the party in the Navrongo Central constituency to deliberate on the current state of the New Patriotic Party in the constituency and strategise how the Party can recapture the parliamentary seat in 2024.
