The outgoing District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bongo, Peter Ayinbisa, says he is grateful to President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia for giving him the opportunity to serve as DCE in their first term in office.
Mr. Ayinbisa who described his time in office as an awesome experience added that He was “to have been given such a rare opportunity to contribute no matter how little it was, towards the development of Bongo.”
He made these remarks in a statement after the announcement of Rita Atanga as the DCE nominee for the area.

THANK YOU MR PRESIDENT
On behalf of my family and friends, I wish to express my profound gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana and the Vice President for allowing me space to serve my people as DCE under their abled stewardship. It was such an awesome experience to have worked under their guidance and directions. I’m happy to have been given such a rare opportunity to contribute no matter how little it was, towards the development of Bongo.
My further gratitude goes to the Chief of Staff, the Hon Regional Ministers namely, Hon Rockson Ayine Bukari, Hon Tangoba Abagyage and Hon Stephen Yakubu who have all contributed in various ways in shaping up my political career.
I must also thank the Paramount Chief of Bongo Traditional Area, Sub and Divisional Chiefs, the Paramount Queen Mother and Queen Mothers for their invaluable experience shared with me during my tenure as Chief Executive.
Much gratitude to the Regional Party Chairman as well as the the Constituency Chairman for their financial and physical support during the 2020 elections where I was the Candidate.My appreciation also goes to all Regional Executives, all Constituency Executives, all Electoral Area Cordinators, all Polling Station Executives and to all loyal members of the great Elephant family for the support you gave me.
Just as I did yesterday, I will also cease the opportunity to once more CONGRATULATE my dear Sister Rita Atanga on her nomination to succeed me. I want to assure her of my unflinching support toward her confirmation and beyond. I am available to share my little experience with her for the forward match of our District.
Equally, I urge all my supporters and friends who wished I was nominated again to extend whatever support they would have given to me to her. I leave behind a huge legacy which must be guided jealously. There are lots of unfinished projects which when completed will inure to the benefits of our people. I’m committed committed to the course of the party breaking the eight years circle. Thus no stone should be left unturned for the party to realize this laudable agenda.
Finally, I will urge the technical staff of the Assembly, HODs to give even more cooperation as they gave me in the last 57 months as DCE.
May the Almighty God bless His Excellence the President, His Government and our great party.
