The president’s nominee for the position of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bolgatanga, Rex Asanga, has been confirmed.
All 39 elected and appointed Assembly Members present voted Yes; representing a 100 percent endorsement for the nominee.
He was immediately sworn into office.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Asanga thanked the Assembly Members for supporting his nomination.
He pledged to work with them to ensure rapid development of the Municipality.
Mr. Asanga’s confirmation is the first so far in the region for the Municipal and District Chief Executives who were announced.
