The Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa South Constituency in the Upper East Region, Dr. Clement Apaak has stated that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, are the most insensitive President and Vice President Ghana has ever had.
According him, the current President and his vice, after gaining power, have failed to fulfill their manifesto and personal promises they made to Ghanaians whiles in opposition.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on A1 Radio’s morning show ‘Daybreak Upper East, Dr. Apaak said “Let me tell you my honors opinion, President Akufo-Addo and Bawumia are turning out to be the most insensitive President and Vice President in the history of the fourth republic. I said so because if you look at their conduct visa vis their own manifesto promises and personal promises that they made to the people in terms of how they intended to govern this country, and you measure that to the reality that we have witness.”
Dr. Apaak who also serves as the Deputy Ranking Member on the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education said the misappropriation of public funds by the Government of the New Patriotic Party ( NPP) was a clear indication that President Akufo-Addo is not ready to protect the public purse.
He added that recent foreign trips by the President to UK and Germany that have been reported to cost the state an amount of £14,000 per hour and ¢3.46 million cumulative were needless.
