The Principal of the Bolgatanga Nursing Training College in the Upper East region Williams Sebil has urged graduates to venture into entrepreneurship in order to improve their lives and the lives of others.

According to Mr. Sebil, because graduates are not assured of immediate government jobs after completion of school, it is prudent for graduates to start up their own businesses.

“The world in which we find ourselves, things are changing rapidly all of us when to school with the aim to acquired knowledge. The thinking was that soon after you finish, the office should be waiting for you but things have changed.

All we need to know is that once you have acquired knowledge, you should be able to think outside the box. Gone are the days when you are passing and you see a carpenter you quickly say the person is a useless person Today things have changed. So with the knowledge that we have, we have to think outside the box find other alternatives, focus our eyes on it well, and you will have your own business running,” he explained.

Speaking to the media on the sideline of the Bolgatanga Municipal National Service Scheme orientation in Bolgatanga, Mr. Sebil stated that, graduates do not need to mobilize huge resources before venturing into business.

According to him they only need innovative and good ideas and a little amount of money to start up a business as it is a gradual process.
