The Bolgatanga Municipality Assembly in the Upper East region has taken steps to fix some unmotorable roads within the Municipality to allow free flow of traffic.
Addressing Assembly Members at the 3rd Ordinary meeting of the Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly on Wednesday, the Municipal Chief Executive Rex Asanga noted that, the Assembly is engaging the services of a motor grader to grade and open up selected roads in the Municipality.
“Our roads have become unmotorable and I think they deserve serious attention. In this regard, we are engaging the services of a motor grader to grade and open up selected roads in the municipality. We need your utmost support and cooperation in this important work we intend to do,” he said.
The DCE also noted that the Assembly’s Decongestion Taskforce has started work to decongest the central business town to ensure order and sanity.
Mr. Asanga also explained that decisions have been taken by the Assembly regarding the Abattoir as well as arrangements to fix the street lighting system within the Municipality.
