UW: 28 enskinned as Chiefs, Queenmothers in Busa Traditional Area

Some 28 people in the Busa Traditional Area have been enskinned as Chiefs and Queen mothers of the area. The 28 who were enskinned by the Busa Naa Ali Seidu Pelpuo Yelmana today, January 9, 2022. They await the approval and blessings of the Overlord of the Waala Traditional Area, Naa Fuseini Pelpuo.

This was communicated by the Secretary to the Overlord of the Waala Traditional Area, Jinpenhi Naa, Naa Ibrahim Kadri.

“Busa went agog! Subject to the approval and blessings of His Majesty the Overlord of the Wala Traditional Council (Wa Naa), the paramount chief, Busa Naa Ali Seidu Pelpuo Yelmana enskinned over twenty-eight persons as chiefs and queen-mothers under his jurisdiction today. Key among them were Naa Osman Kundaribour and Pognaa Salamatu Dambiibu, Katua Naa and Ducie Pognaa respectively.

The Busa Naa also took a remarkable decision to create a matrilineal skin for the Busa traditional area of Wala. He had Naa Abukari Haruna, a.k.a. Awuola of Tagrayiri enskinned as the first chief of Sielijie, the new maternal skin under Busa. Naa Awuala is the son of a late daughter of the late Wa Naa Yamusa Pelpuo III (1920-1935) of Yijiihi.

Congratulations to them all, especially Koro Naa Isshaku Pelpuo Zaid and his wives, the queen-mothers. May it be well with you as you patiently await the approval of His Majesty the Wa Naa on a later date,” he wrote on his Official Facebook page.
