The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has served notice it will embark on a nationwide strike on January 20, 2022, to demand better conditions of service.
This was contained in a letter addressed to all Heads of government Departments and copied to the Upper East Regional Coordinating Director, the Bolgatanga Municipal Coordinating Director sighted by A1 News. The Municipal Secretary of CLOSAG, Osuman Abugbilla said the strike action would be embarked on should government fail to make headway on the negotiations for better conditions of service.
Mr. Abugbilla made reference to a previous letter dated December 22, 2021 and signed by the Executive Secretary of CLOSAG Dr. Isaac Bampoe Addo. In that letter, Dr. Addo stated that the undue delay in the finalization of negotiations on the conditions of service for CLOSAG is worrying and unacceptable.
