AFCON 2021: We’ll do everything in our power to stay – Rajevac

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has vowed his side will fight to stay in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations ahead of their final group game against Comoros on Tuesday.

Black Stars face a shock group stage exit after failing to achieve desired results in their first two games.

Black Stars lost 1-0 to Morocco last week Monday and then drew 1-1 with Gabon four days later. As a result, Black Stars have one point and are third in Group C.

Black Stars must beat Comoros and hope that Morocco, who have already secured qualification, thump Gabon to stand a better chance of progressing to the knockout stage.

“We will fight until the last moment in every match,” Rajevac said, “for us, it is important that we still have a chance to qualify and we are all aware of that.”

“We will do our best, we will motivate the players, we are all aware how important this is and we don’t want to go home.

“We want to stay in the competition and we will do everything in our power to make it happen.”

The last time Ghana failed to qualify from the group was 2006.
