UE: CNC, partners put smiles on children’s faces at regional hospital

The Upper East Regional office of the Center for National Culture has donated some items to children at the Upper East Regional Hospital.

The initiative, according to Madam Elizabeth Adongo came to fulfil a pledge made during the maiden Regional festival of the nine lessons and carols held in Bolgatanga.

Madam Adongo, the director of the Upper East Regional Center for National Culture, explained further that the initiative was part of their plans to seek support from the public for onwards support to the needy in the region especially those at the children’s wards at the hospital.

“We know it is not much but we believe more will come and we want to use this opportunity to appeal to the public to do the same”, she added.

She however added that the initiative came to life through the support of the Upper East Regional Coordination Council.

“The regional minister and his outfit have supported this initiative greatly. We pray and hope that next year we will do more than what we have just done.”

Appreciating the gesture the in-charge of the children’s ward at the Regional Hospital Saanwie Aiden noted the initiative came at the right time.
