“Bolgatanga must develop”; MCE says as he launches Special Initiative Committee to tackle growth

“The growth of the regional capital boils down to collective efforts by all and sundry. We can’t continue to be left behind. From sanitation to education and health ought to be worked on, and all of us must come together devoid of politics,” said Rex Asanga, the Municipal Chief Executive of Bolgatanga.

Speaking to A1 Radio, Mr Asanga stressed that tackling the deficit within the development structure needs special attention, the reason for launching the ‘MCE Special Initiative Committee’.

The committee will help to identify critical needs of the Municipality, formulate and package the same for the donor projects. It will also use social media and other forms of communication to attract funding for such identifiable projects to be executed.

The Chair of the committee, Professor David Millar of Millar Institute of Transdisciplinary and Development Studies, speaking at its launch, advised members to act devoid of politics and critically look at measures that can help place the regional capital reach its expected growth.
