Black Stars striker, Jordan Ayew has donated an undisclosed amount to an Orphanage housing orphans who lost their parents in the Rwandan genocide in 1994.

According to him, he was aware of the story of the people of Rwanda so when he arrived there he used the opportunity to also give his widows mite to the people.

The bubbly striker said it is a good feeling to have the welfare of people at heart. He noted that he was very fortunate to have his parents alive because it is a difficult and painful feeling to lose your parents.

“It is a good feeling to help people who do not have parents. Some of us are privileged to have our parents alive. It is a sad feeling to lose your parents especially at a tender age.”

He maintained that it was best to give back to society as an individual so he was going to help in every African country he visits to also better the lives of people who are in dire need.

Asked whether the gesture will be a frequent one, he replied “why not, i will discuss with my wife and we will be doing such gestures more often as part of our drive to help in the alleviation of poverty and to provide a better life for people.”
