UW: Wa Naa charges Governing Council Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University to build students for industry

Naa Kadri Ibrahim, the Jinpenhi Naa who doubles as the spokesperson for the Overlord of the Waala Traditional Council, has disclosed that the Governing Council of the Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University, formerly known as the Wa Polytechnic, has met with the Wa Naa, Naa Fuseini Pelpuo.
The meeting was to offer the Governing Council and opportunity to introduce its members to Traditional Rulers of the place and also discuss issues of mutual interest.

In a Facebook post, Naa Kadri said “the Governing Council of the Hilla Liman Technical University of Wa paid a visit to the Wa Naa Palace to inform him of the take-off of the university. The chairman of the council said the inaugural meeting of the council was held yesterday and thus kick start the official operations of the university”.

“The Wa Naa, Naa Alhaji Fiseini Seidu Pelpuo IV, commended the government for putting in place a high-calibre of personalities in charge of the council and a competent Vice-chancellor to drive the affairs of the university to a greater height”.
“The Overlord also charged the council and management to work hard and improve on the infrastructure challenge and also introduce relevant programs that would inure to the benefit of the industry by way of enhancing the employment chances of their students. The university, the Wa Naa stated, was to the benefit of, not only Wa, but, Upper West and Ghana in general. He prayed the Almighty will guide and strengthen their determination to see the university as the first choice of students in the country,” he wrote.
