Issah Kpegla, a Deputy Financial Secretary for the NPP in the Wa Central Constituency of the Upper West Region has been attacked. Mr. Kpegla was attacked while returning from Boli, a suburb of Wa, after monitoring the processes leading up to the election of the Polling Station Executives.

Reports say that he was attacked by able-bodied men who broke the back windshield on his car. Mr. Kpegla was able to escape unharmed and has since filed an official report at the police station for investigations into the matter to begin.

The attack is suspected to have come from some members who are unhappy with processes so far.

Attempts to reach Mr. Kpegla on the issue proved futile.

Speaking to on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East on the development, the Upper West Regional Communications Director of the NPP, Bukari Ali confirmed the incident but was quick to add that he was unable to state definitively that the attack was in relation to the ongoing processes to elect Polling Sation Executives.

Mr. Ali explained that the isolated incident aside, the entire process across the region had been relatively calm.
