The District Director of Education in the Talensi of the Upper East Madam Christiana Awuni has noted that even though her administrative jurisdiction has chalked some successes, the successes are without certain challenges. These challenges she said, have prevented the District from realizing its full academic potential.

According to Madam Christiana, some of the schools in her District are lacking proper structures that will enhance teaching and learning. She explained that this has adversely affected their performances adding that, in some schools, there aren’t even enough teachers.

Mrs Awuni noted that these schools need urgent attention so as to avert further academic damages that may arise.
