The Bolgatanga Municipal Chief Executive, Rex S.A. Asanga has urged pupils and students in the municipality to take their books seriously in order to earn themselves scholarships in the future.
Mr. Asanga said, through the Ministry of Education and Bulk Old Storage and Transportation Company (BOST) scholarship package, the assembly had the opportunity to select five (5) brilliant but needy students to pursue various engineering courses at the University of Mines in Tarkwa.
According to Mr. Asanga, this is an opportunity that students and pupils within the Bolgatanga Municipality to be focus to achieve excellence.
Addressing the Independence Day Parade in the Upper East regional capital Bolgatanga, the MCE said “I want to take this opportunity to announce with pride that on Tuesday 1st March, 2022, I dispatched five brilliant but needy students at the university of mines in Takwa to study various engineering courses under the Ministry of Education/Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation company (BOOST) scholarship package. The bursary shall cover tuition, accommodation, education materials as well as feeding and clothing allowances”
“I wish to encourage all of you to take your studies seriously so that you may also enjoy similar scholarships when you are due to study in the tertiary institutions”
The MCE noted that, the Bolgatanga municipal assembly would continue to support brilliant but needy students in various educational courses across the country.
