Seidu Sulemana Akirugu, known in the media space as DJ Phatbone; ‘the Five-star General’ is celebrating 10 years of radio excellence.

DJ Phatbone who spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East explained that being in such a competitive space and remaining relevant could be attributed to “commitment, dedication and the will to continually learn something new”.

In lieu of this milestone achievement, the Five-star General has lined up a number of celebratory activities.

“You have been part of the reason why I commit myself to learning new ways to be good on the radio every day. I am very grateful for challenging me to always bring out the best in me to entertain my audience”.

“I have travelled through time and phases and today, by the grace of God almighty, Phatbone has become a household name. So soon it’s been 10 years since I started being present in people’s homes, offices and bases”.

“It would not be prudent to let these 10 years of experience go without sharing the joy with the public and a wonderful person like you,” he said.

The events would include a wild night out partying at the JC Nite Club on Friday, March 25, 2022. On Saturday, March 26, 2022, there will be a seminar for the young individuals who are interested in deejaying or radio presentation. Sunday, March 27, there would be a football match between media practitioners and artistes and their management teams. On Monday, March 28, the activities would be climaxed with a little donation to a yet-to-be-chosen school.

The Five-star General added that “this is a big project and I cannot fund by myself. I will need your financial support in the form of sponsorship or donation. My team will ensure that your contribution is duly acknowledged and appreciated on-air and through social media handles and other communication platforms”.
