The Sandema Senior High has qualified for the next stage of the Upper East Regional Qualifiers of the National Science and Maths Quiz. Sandema Senior High School beat off strong competition from the Mirigu Senior High School, Zebilla Senior High School and the Sirigu Senior High School.
The Zebilla Senior High School which led in the first and second rounds, fell in the third round of the competition. In the final round of the competition, Zebilla SHS and Mirigu SHS tied at 13 points while the Sirigu SHS and the Sandema SHS both scored 16 points.
The Sandema SHS shocked Sirigu SHS in the tiebreakers to emerge winners of the second contest of the day.
They join Navrongo SHS who also won their contest.
They next contest is going to be among Bongo SHS, Nabango SHS, Kusanaba SHS and Zuarungu SHS.
