The suspended Navrongo Constituency Executive election of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will be held on Thursday, May 12, the constituency Chairman, Anthony Kofi Mensah has said.

He said this when he spoke on A1 Radio’s News Link yesterday, Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

The election was earlier suspended indefinitely following a disagreement over the number of qualified delegates.

Mr Mensah mentioned that the constituency polling station election was conducted Monday, May 9, 2022.

“Yesterday’s election was very peaceful. As we all know, it was been handled by an external force. It was been handled by one Mr Patrick Seidu who had been appointed by the national [secreteriat] with his team members. They co-opted CK TADAM TESCON members to help them run the election which was very peaceful. As you know Navrongo is always peaceful,” he said.

Speaking on their preparation for Thursday’s election, the chairman who is seeking re-election said he is ready and prepared as a candidate.

He is also optimistic that the election organizing committee members are up to the task.

In all 692 delegates are expected to take part in the election on Thursday.
