A New Patriotic Party (NPP) Youth Organiser Aspirant in the Upper East Region, Salahudeen Musah has noted that capturing four Parliamentary seats for the party at the 2024 elections is one of the key reasons he’s seeking election to the office.

He says if, given the opportunity to lead the youth in the region, his role and focus would be to mobilize them towards recapturing the lost parliamentary seats and add one from the opposition National Democratic Congress.

The opposition National Democratic Congress at the 2016 elections took 14 parliamentary seats out of 15 in the Upper East Region.

The situation many, including Salahudeen, said was unfortunate and therefore vowed to address when given the opportunity at the party’s internal elections to lead.

The aspirant made this known at the party’s regional office in Bolgatanga when he filed to contest the Regional Youth Organizer position.

He added “I know it’s in everyone’s dream to restructure and recapture the lost seats and add one. And I can I sure you all that collectively as I lead as your youth organizer it’s possible. You know everything starts with God the Almighty and one’s competence, and also knowing the challenges each youth faces, with these, and your support for me to become your youth organizer. I know the four seats are ready for us in the region.”

He however called on delegates to vote based on the future of the New Patriotic Party devoid of tribalism and favouritism in the Upper East Region.
