A Regional Youth Organizer Aspirant of the New Patriotic Party in the Upper East Region has encouraged delegates to vote for persons who are committed to the development of the party and not vote based on either favouritism or gender.

Salahudeen Musah who seeks the regional youth organiser’s position amongst four other contestants appealed to delegates “to look beyond who is what and where”, and rather focus on the competency of the person.

These competencies he added can not be far from him as he understands the problems of the youth. Mr. Musah said he will be working based on inclusiveness and forwardness of recapturing power for the party.

He said, “let us look at how we can restructure and recapture some of the lost seats in the region. Our focus as party members should be on how we can collectively achieve such an aim and with who. The question should be yes, he/she is your favourite candidate but is he/she ready for the task ahead? So, let’s reason beyond tribalism and favouritism and focus on breaking the 8 with competent people in the region.”

He spoke to the press when he filed his nomination to contest the Regional Youth Organizer’s position at the party’s regional office in Bolgatanga.
