Ahead of the Regional Delegates Conference slated for Friday, May 27, 2021, the incumbent Upper East Regional Chairman for the NPP who is seeking re-election, Anthony Namoo has praised all the aspirants for the decorum and candour shown in the various campaigns.

He said as it should be, all aspirants have held their heads high and have campaigned with honour messages and not with malice and ill-intent.

Lawyer Namoo also, in a reconciliatory tone, asked to be forgiven, if he had offended anyone during the discharge of his duties as Regional Chairman.

He said this when he spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East.

“Gone are the days when people were virtually conscripted. Now people have come and are spending money to oil the party’s machinery. God should guide all the aspirants so that we will all be strong to take part in the election. We have gone round to give our messages and I have received good news across the region and I hope that they will come on Friday and do the needful.”

“Being in the office for four years is no mean achievement. In that process, some people’s feet may have been stepped on by me. I did it in good faith; I did not do it to slight anybody, and it was in the service of the party. Once you are working, obviously, not everybody will be happy. So for those who feel aggrieved one way or the other, I am entirely responsible for all that happened.”

“I only hope that once God has given me the opportunity to go the second term, and we are talking about breaking the eight, which is also new, they need to help me cross the line. Once you have entirely new executives across the board, you need an experienced hand,” he said.

Lawyer Anthony Namoo is contesting against 5 other persons for the position of Regional Chairman of the party.
