UE: Bolga High court sentences man who sacrificed wife, child to gods to death

The Bolgatanga High Court has on today, June 01, 2022 presided over by His Lordship Charles Adjei Wilson, the Regional Supervising High Court Judge sentenced a man who claims to be a traditional spiritualist to death for murder.

Mbawona Tindana, a 37-year-old traditional spiritualist from Kulpelga in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region, is alleged to have killed his 25-year-old wife, Talata Abigail Kurug, and his two-year-old daughter, Nyapoka Mbawona Tindana, in 2019 as a sacrifice to his idols.

The self-acclaimed spiritualist Mr. Tindana, was charged by the State with two counts of murder, contrary to sections of the Criminal offences Act of 1960, Act 29, for intentionally and unlawfully harm causing the death of his wife, Talata Abigail Kurug and his daughter, Nyapoka Mbawona Tindana.

Based on these offence charges against Mr. Tindana, the court presided over by His Lordship Charles Adjei Wilson, the Regional Supervising High Court Judge passed his judgment by sentencing Mbawona Tindana to death.
