“No shaking at all, Nana Addo himself can come, I will beat him. I am ready for anybody. The 13 thousand gap I gave to them, this time, they should be prepared for more than 15 thousand. As for that Navrongo seat, they should forget it, we have won already.”
These are the words of Sampson Tangombu Chiragiaa, the Member of Parliament for the Navrongo Central Constituency in the Upper East Region. His comments come on the back of recent ones by the Upper East Regional Youth Organiser, Salahu-Deen Musah Al-Khomeini.
It would be recalled that Mr. Al-Khomeini speaking on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show said the NPP would win 5 seats in the upcoming 2024 election.
“We are starting from Bawku Central. Mahama Ayariga will go. That I can assure you. Tempane is also one of the seats. The lady there, they should just tell her that she should just pack her bags. I am coming for her. For Binduri, there are no two ways about that. People are saying whatever they want to say but we are going to maintain Binduri. Navrongo Central, they should tell Sampson that we are coming for him.”
“For me as youth commander, my first objective in terms of seats, I am targeting 5 seats,” he said.
The five seats are Navrongo Central, Pusiga, Tempane, Bawku Central and Binduri.
But speaking on the same platform, the MP restated his chances of maintaining the seat.
“When Nana himself, combines with Bawumia and comes, I will beat them. I am telling you the Navrongo seat is not for NPP for now. They may look for another seat but not my seat, they should forget it,” he said.
