A communication team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper East Region, Abdallah Jonathan Salifu has described the District Chief Executive for Builsa South and Parliamentary Candidate for the NPP in 2020, Daniel Kwame Gariba as a social media politician.

According to the outspoken Communicator, the Builsa south DCE does a lot of things on social media rather than working for the good people of the district.

Mr. Abdallah stated that the DCE is not in touch with the people of the constituency, the reason he failed to win the Builsa South Parliamentary seat in the 2020 election, even though he was popular as district Chief Executive.

“Our friend Gariba, you know, he is a social media politician. Have you noticed that? Oh, he does a lot of things on Facebook and Twitter and other things. But when you go to the grounds, nothing.”
“In the election 2020, we got the report that Builsa South, we have to be careful. We had a special team from the region. We go to augment the effort of the constituency. “When we got there, we realized that all that we had been hearing wasn’t true. So we told Honorable [Clement Apaak] that he should relax. He was going to whip the man [Daniel Kwame Gariba] carelessly and he did same.”

His statement was in response to newly elected Upper East Regional Youth Organizer elected Salahu-Deen Musah, who expressed confidence that the governing New Patriotic Party would not only break the 8 in the 2024 elections but will capture at least 5 seats in the Upper East Region, possibly, the Builsa south seat too.
