Some Casual workers numbering close to 28 at the War Memorial Hospital in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality of the Upper East region have been asked to go home permanently as their services were no longer needed.

The directive came from the Upper East Regional Director of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Emmanuel Kofi Dzotsi.

The reason for their sacking, according to the letter sighted by A1radioonline.com, was due to the affected staff not having the requisite qualifications to work with the Ghana Health Services.

Their inability to work at the outfit, the letter says, is a result of an audit conducted on all casual and temporal workers in the region.

These workers include drivers, cleaners, cooks and others.
