General Manager of A1 Radio, William Jalulah is UER GJA Chairman

William Nlanjerbor Jalulah, the General Manager of A1 Radio, a subsidiary of the Agreed Best Communication Limited, is the Upper East Regional Chairman-elect of the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA). This is after the election that took place on Friday, June 24, 2022. Mr. Jalulah’s position was uncontested, as were all the other positions.

Fatima Sandra Astanga-Anafu, a journalist with the Ghana News Agency, (GNA) is the Vice-Chairperson-elect, while Albert Sore, the Upper East Regional Correspondent for the Multimedia Group is the Regional Secretary-elect for the GJA.

Joshua Asaah, News Editor at A1 Radio is the Treasurer-elect of the Association.

Meanwhile, Albert Kwabena Dwumfour has been elected as the new President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA).

Dwumfour, the Head of Corporate Affairs at the Tobinco Group and incumbent National Organising Secretary hotly contested the position of President and beat the Editor of the Ghanaian Times and former General Secretary of the GJA, Dave Agbenu and journalist and communication consultant, Gayheart Mensah.

He polled 233 votes to beat Gayheart Mensah’s 181 votes and that of Dave Agbenu’s 142 votes.
