Information reaching A1 NEWS indicates that the seasoned Public Relations Officer of then Shaanxi Mining Ghana Limited now Earl International, Maxwell Wooma has resigned.

Mr. Wooma joined the company in April 2012 as a PRO and rose to the position of General Manager (GM) in January 2022, a position he held briefly for six months before he resigned.
It is unclear where the maverick communicator is headed but a deep-throat source has it that he is headed to another heavy industry sector in the region.

During his stay at Shaanxi /Earl International, Mr. Wooma worked to turn what was a galamsey small-scale mining unit into a well-structured company.

He fostered growth and unity between then Shaanxi Mining Ghana Limited and its partners – the Yenyeya and Pubortaaba small-scale mining groups.

The seasoned communicator with many years of media experience, built a solid and positive media front for the company through frank, honest communication.

It would be recalled that Shaanxi Mining Ghana Limited now Earl International for the past years, experienced negative media reportage due to the incessant attacks by thousands of small-scale miners in the Gbane community of the Talensi District of the Upper East Region. But the former PRO for the company strongly fended the incessant attacks on the company either in the courts or on media platforms.

In 2021, he was industrious in ensuring all the small-scale miners amalgamated to have shares from the new company – Earl International Group Gh. Gold Ltd. He was instrumental in the transitional processes of the then Shaanxi Mining company into a large-scale mining company now called Earl International Group Gh Gold Ltd which will mine an area of 16.02Sq.Km in the Talensi District.

When A1 NEWS reached out to some workers of the company on the exit of their boss, many were teary explaining there were going to miss his matchless interpersonal skills and humane approach to their welfare matters.
