Dennis Katakyie, the National President of NABCO Trainees Association of Ghana (NABTAG), has hinted that plans are far advanced to call all relevant authorities, especially the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Chief of Staff, Madam Frema Osei-Opare, the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over the nonpayment of their nine months arrears by the government.

The petition, according to Katakyei is to inform the trio that President Akufo-Addo has failed to live up to expectations with regard to providing jobs and dutifully remunerating the employees. Mr. Katakyei made this known on A1 Radio.

He said “We are prepared to petition the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II why this, you remember when the President took office, his first visit was at the Palace of the Asantehene where he was advised that one of the reasons, Ghanaians voted against the previous government was hunger and unavailability of jobs. So, we are petitioning him to create awareness about whether he (the President) takes his advice or not. We will also petition the Vice President and the Chief of Staff at the presidency why despite their directive for them to remain on post while waiting for permanent posting has turned upside down. ”

Disappointed with the 2022 mid-year budget hearing read by the finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta, Katakyei has called on members of NABTAG to get ready as they will soon demonstrate to register their displeasure after their press release come Friday 29th of July, 2022 at Kumasi Cultural Centre.
