Defense Minister, Dominic Aduna Bingab Nitiwul says the NPP government expects not less than seven parliamentary seats in the Upper East region due to the massive development realized by the Akufo-Addo-led government.
He said no government since independence has been able to provide the needed development for the people in the region hence the government expects more votes come 2024.
Mr. Nitiwul who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Bimbilla in the Northern Region made the comment during the tour of the President, Akufo-Addo to the Upper East Region.
He added that from potable water, health, quality education and security, the NPP government has out-beaten its opponents in every other way.
He said “no government can challenge NPP with development projects in Upper East Region and we don’t want much; just seven seats. That we are asking for. Out of the 15 parliamentary seats, just seven is what we want from you people.”
Touching on security, he said his outfit was on course to providing the needed logistics to improve the various security posts in the region.
