The Principal of the Bolgatanga Technical Institute is saying that since the violent demonstration by students, the Parents Association (PA) has not reached out to the management of the school to enquire about the extent of damage or have firsthand information about the dastardly incident.

Zachary Yorose, the Principal of the school said this in a phone interview with A1 Radio’s Moses Apiah.

Due to the decision to ask all students to stay away from school unless when taking the examination, Mr. Yorose explained that the students had taken advantage of the situation and deliberately reported late for their papers; particularly the social studies papers.

The students on 8th August 2022, turned up at 9:40 am instead of 9:00 am for the start of their exams. When quizzed they noted that their current locations are extremely far from the school and thus, they could not have come at a better time than they did.

Meanwhile, some of the students who spoke off record explained that their action was a silent demand to be allowed back to their dormitories.

They added that the current situation does not allow them to study properly.
