Staff of Sandema Municipal Hospital struggling to meet health needs of clients due to inadequate logistics

The staff of the Sandema Municipal Hospital in the Builsa North Municipality have stated that they can do more if they are given enough logistics to operate with.

Interacting with our reporter, Richard Asem, a Public Health Officer with the hospital mentioned that the team working at the hospital is serving their clients to the best of their abilities, per the available logistics.

Mr. Asem was however worried about the effect the limitations and inadequacies have on health service delivery.

” … it’s difficult, but we are trying our best to make sure our patients are comfortable and we provide the best care for our patients. So, we think we can do more when we are given more to operate with.”

He appealed to benevolent societies, NGOs and philanthropists who have the health service at heart to support the facility with some logistics to facilitate their operations.

“And so, we will plead on benevolent groups, societies and NGOs that have the health of the populace at heart to come to our aid and provide us with the logistics to push the agenda of universal health coverage.”

He made these comments when the International Women’s Hope Centre (IWHC) made a donation of detergents and disinfectants to the hospital as part of planned activities when it launched its Builsa Area office in Sandema.
