Management of the C.K. Tedam University for Technology and Applied Science (CKT-UTAS) has heaped praises on the Navro-Pio and landlords within Navrongo, the area in which the school is located.
Commenting on engagements by the university’s management in the area of infrastructural development, Dr. V.A Ankamah-Lomotey, Registrar for CKT-UTAS praised the level of support by the chiefs of Navrongo.
“In fact, they’ve been very, very supportive. The chiefs have been able to give us some lands, portions of land. … there’s a vast land of 24 acres there. Navro Pio and his landlords have given it to us.”
The Registrar further highlighted that after documentation for the 24acres of land is secured, investors will be confident to come in because there will be land available.
The availability of land for the institution will support the transformation agenda and the infrastructural development of the university.
“We are doing the documentation. So once these investors decide to hit the ground, there will be land available for them.”
The C.K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) was established by an Act of Parliament (ACT 1000) which came into effect on 23rd August, 2019. It was named after a Ghanaian Politician, Patriot and Statesman, Clement Kubindewor Tedam from the royal family of Paga in the Upper East Region of Ghana.
The mandate of the University as spelt out in the parent Act is to disseminate knowledge related to theory and practical development in integrated technology and applied sciences.
