It would be recalled that as part of his birthday celebration, the founder and Chairman of Happy Man Foundation, Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey, donated to some orphanages in the Upper East Region.
The beneficiary orphanages included the God’s Love Kids Home at Soe in the Bolgatanga Municipality and the Timataaba Children’s Home at Gbeogo in the Talensi District.
Both orphanages received items such as the Plus 1 soft drinks, bags of rice, boxes of tomato paste, cooking oil, biscuits, toiletries, baby food, used clothes, stationery, and sachet water among others.
The businessman cum philanthropist donated Ghc1, 000 cash to the God’s Love Kids Home with a promise to support the orphanage an amount of Ghc1, 000 monthly for one year.
The philanthropist has redeemed his pledge in honour of the above commitment.
Edward Anafo, Charger Ltd Sales Representative in the Upper East Region handed over the said amount to the orphanage as the monthly stipend for the month of August.
It is expected that the orphanage would continue to receive this support until May 2023.
