Michael Nangena, the current Communication Officer for the NDC in the Talensi Constituency is expected to continue in his current position. Mr. Nangena, expected to file his nominations later today, would be unopposed.
Speaking to A1 Radio, Mr. Nangena said, “well, my constituents across the length and breadth of the constituency are honouring me with no contest. So I am filing as a sole candidate.”
He explained that over the past few years, he had enhanced the communication wing of the party in the Talensi area.
“[I have done] a lot. I don’t whether I can finish. I established a communication team and trained same. I opened three communication centres across the zones and established a radio program dubbed Talensi Must Know.”
The Talensi Must Know radio programme, according to Mr. Nangena was “to share the NDC and my MP’s achievements. It was quite revolutionary, I must say.”
After the renewal of the mandate, Mr. Nangena intends “to consolidate the gains, and modify the communication strategy a bit depending on the card the NPP will play in terms of their Parliamentary Candidate for the 2024 elections.”
