The Head coach of Burkina Faso Female National Volleyball Team, Ouedraogo Nerwaya has visited Ghana for the first time. The coach was in the Upper East Region, spent a number of days and left for his native country, Burkina Faso on Thursday 29th September, 2022.
While in Ghana, he interacted with A1 Radio Sports at the Mobil Astro Turf Field on Wednesday 28th September, 2022.
He was in the country, among other things to visit and old friend and coach of Ghana’s Male National Volleyball Team, Rahman Danladi.
Coach Nerwaya said he and Danladi played volleyball more than a decade ago.
He spoke about Ghana’s remarkable progress in improving the sport over the years, a feat he mentioned his home country may need to learn from.
The coach was optimistic that with the regular volleyball tourneys in Burkina Faso, the game would grow in his home country as it has in Ghana. Coach Nerwaya is also the Head Coach of AS Douane Of the Customs Division in Burkina Faso.
Coach Nerwaya urged all and sundry in Ghana to support volleyball.
