In response to poor sanitation in his electoral area, the Assemblyman for Kwatia/Na’ambimbinibisi electoral area in the Bolgatanga East District, Akologo A. Norbert has declared March “Make Kwatia/Na’ambimbinibisi clean” month.

March is a month of voluntary clean-up exercise for all residents in the electoral area in an effort to reduce unsanitary conditions that breed diseases.

“When we move to community cleaning, every year March we have what we called Make Kwatia/Na’ambimbinibisi clean since I assumed to leadership. That’s our agenda to make Kwatia/Na’ambimbinibisi clean and the whole community have embraced it. Anytime it’s getting to March they would rather approach me and say why are we not doing our work because it is helping.”

Speaking on A1Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show, Mr Norbert commended the community for their cooperation so far.

“I really appreciate my people, the community, they’re also doing well. They want to help the community developed and we get good health.”

The assemblyman touted some of his achievements since he assumed leadership about three years ago.

“Some of the developmental projects in my community are so huge, Na’ambimbinibisi as a community was not having electricity since I assumed leadership but we’re able to extend electricity to the whole community of Na’ambimbinibisi and some areas of Kwatia were not having electricity but the extension has catch to some of them so far.

On the part of water and sanitation, God being so good I had one borehole from the DCE, by then it was Honorable Emmanuel Abole and that’s a mechanized borehole. Another borehole was given to me by the honorable MP Dominic Akuritinga. Since my assumption to leadership I have gotten two boreholes for the community.”
