19,999 students to sit for BECE in Upper East Region

Close to 20,000 pupils are expected to sit for this year’s BECE in the Upper East Region. In all, 679 schools are expected to present students who would sit for the exam scheduled for Monday, October 17, 2022.

564 of the schools are public basic schools while the remaining 115 are private basic schools. This is according to information from the Regional Education Directorate.

9,999 of the students are boy while 10,000 are girls. The Bolgatanga Municpaliity is presenting 2,847 students, the highest among all 15 Municipalities and Districts in the Upper East Region.
